History

AMS Couriers was founded in 1964 by Anchorage Court clerk Betty H., who was urged by several attorneys to start a courier service for filing legal paperwork. Betty originally operated AMS from the courthouse and ran it as a side business. She gradually built up the company to over 200 clients until it was sold in 1995.

Today

AMS Couriers expanded its customer base to clients all over the state and across various industries from telecommunications to engineering to medical. AMS also serves numerous out-of-state customers and has a dedicated team of STA certified couriers available for interstate shipping. Aside from its role as the premier courier service in Alaska, AMS Couriers also offers warehousing, 3PL, and last mile logistics management for all business models.

AMS Couriers specializes in Same and Next Day delivery across Alaska. AMS is a leading third party logistics provider for local delivery. Our delivery network provides a wide range of local delivery solutions for companies struggling with limitations of a fleet, UPS or FedEx time limits, and less-than-truckload carriers.
